Brief Introduction of the International Cooperation Program between University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) are two friendship universities, which have established the framework of international cooperation. This agreement is practically designed for student exchange and credit hour acceptance between Xi’an Jiaotong University City College (XJTUCC) and UNL.

Within the framework of this agreement, Students enrolled in this Joint Program will receive a “transcript” from XJTUCC after they have successfully completed the first two years of their program of study in XJTUCC. Those students who meet UNL admission requirements and those of their target program/college will be admitted to UNL to continue their programs of study. When students successfully complete the requirements of their programs of study, they will receive their degrees and diplomas from UNL. It is also stated in the Agreement that Students must take the TOEFL examination (or an approved alternative) and receive a minimum score of 525 (or its equivalent). UNL will provide scholarships of $235 per student credit hour for classes taken at UNL. (The yearly scholarship takes up 50% of the tuition rate charged by UNL.) Students who also meet XJTUCC and XJTU requirements of graduation and degrees will receive their diplomas and degrees from XJTUCC and XJTU.
